S.L.A.M. Week 2024 – City of Angels

Your Trenton Thunder and the Grand Slam We Care Foundation recognize organizations and individuals who have had a major impact on the Trenton community. S.L.A.M. Week, which stands for “Supporting Local Admirable Missions”, honors selected organizations and individuals prior to the game.

Saturday’s honoree was City of Angels NJ, Inc, a community non-profit in Hamilton Township that was formed to assist on the frontlines in the national opioid epidemic. City of Angels was created by Kevin and Maryann Meara after the tragic overdose death of their son KC on June 30, 2008. City of Angels has been assisting families battling addiction for over 15 years. COA is all volunteer, does not charge for any family services offered, and has assisted thousands of families throughout our community.

City of Angels is nationally recognized, having presented at the first-ever White House Opioid Summit and the first Department of Justice Opioid Summit.
