Your Trenton Thunder and the Grand Slam We Care Foundation recognize organizations and individuals who have had a major impact on the Trenton community. S.L.A.M. Week, which stands for “Supporting Local Admirable Missions”, honors selected organizations and individuals prior to the game.
Sunday’s recipient was the Trenton Animal Shelter. Their mission is to protect and care for all animals and provide animal services to the City of Trenton. TAS has 5 CO officers, 10 animal attendants, as well as 3 office members who all work together to give care to all animals. They have placed over 100 dogs in fur-ever homes this year. They love to attend events, as well as throw their own at the shelter. They do everything they can to help our city, so they offer dog essentials for free from their pantry. They waive all adoption fees and allow fostering as well for anyone who is looking for something short term.
